Literature Text

i.

i'm surprised at how easily i can break you
and leave you in the wreckage of midnight
constellations and dead stars

ii.

and your shadow crosses mine

i admire your daring, although i told you
to leave me before you burn up

we've yet to lose sight, but the distance is
enough

iii.

don't forget, i'm close behind
and i'll never let you go even if the
world detonates into a stew of
disembodied dreams and starlit memories

iv.

forgive me;
i'm still learning how to love
something forbidden

take care, i'll miss you
And that's a wrap. I'll see all of you in 2014. :salute:

Scheduled for a release sometime at 7-8 PM EST.

It seems like our brains are in a perpetual battle. Our instincts override our logic, and visa versa, until we really don't know what we want. Do we want love, or do we want to avoid judgement? Is the judgement real, or is it from one of the rules that don't apply anymore?

Usually, we go with our heart (I hate "heart", can we switch to a better standard? Like nose? I feel more love in my NOSE than my heart.) and as a result, our brains do a somersault. We are now contradicting that have been embedded in us since the very beginning. We are acknowledging the right thing to do, and then IGNORING it completely. How bizarre.

So we act crazy, as anything would in the process of being rewired. We push away, and we beg to stay. It's a process, and it's a tricky one too. This poem does a nice job explaining such a predicament. Good job.

Full marks because I hate star systems.
